Pahena House Greece
This new build house on the Cyclades island of Milos was a collaborative design project involving the client Nigel Williams, Potter & Holmes Architects and the local engineer Petros Papageorgiou. The three storey house sits on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea.
The design, although contemporary, embraces the local vernacular with flowing curved white render walls juxtaposed with exposed rough stone walls for both exterior and interior surfaces.
The stepped sectional profile echoes the rocky sloping site with terraces cascading down to the sea below.
